Summary:
Reporting to the Director, this role’s main purpose is to take responsibility for implementation and execution of the Business Development Strategy for our client, and ensure that agreed business objectives and performance targets are achieved and exceeded.
The successful incumbent is a self starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgment in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which sales and marketing plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Business Development of designated sector
- Implementation and delivery of the designated Sector Strategy and associated Business Plan.
- Identifies, qualifies, assists, and manages the closing of new business, driven by the promotion of integrated security solutions. Constantly scanning the environment for growth potential and pursuing these opportunities with tenacity.
- Defines criteria for scope, risk and profitability of engagements, as well as the viability of entering new provinces within India with designated sector market potential.
- Responsible for quoting to existing and new customers achieving as higher a margin service as the market will permit.
- Accountable for the financial success and customer satisfaction of engagements under your direction.
- To continually review and improve gross margin profitability, fire sector market and operational management capability of all business in India.
- Key Account Management
- Research industry and market. Analyze competition. Complete customer needs assessment to identify and evaluate specific business opportunities within India.
- Identify and acquire designated Sector customers currently serviced by competitors.
- Develop and implement Key Account Management Plans
- Develop lasting relationships based on mutual respect with customers decision makers.
- Significantly influence customer satisfaction with the company through knowledge of industry, ability to articulate solution value, and service delivery.
- Ensure secure, safe, efficient and customer- oriented handling of the operations and customer service.
- Adherence to local, national and international legislation and procedures.
Present marketing materials, proposals, and deliverables to customers with confidence. - Participate actively in industry conferences or within one or more knowledge networks.
- Assist in the development of the annual budget and business plan for the designated sector.
- Understand and develop logical arguments on the business impact of implementing future strategies.
- Develop Operating Network and industry contacts
- To develop and achieve outstanding quality customer service in the designated Sector.
- Maintain positive customer experiences when interfacing.
- Identify, build, and manage long-term relationships with customers and strategic partners; both existing and potential ones.
- Provide team leadership, mentorship and support, ensuring effective use of all resources, including people and assets, enabling the company achieve and exceed performance objectives.
- To create an environment of positive and favourable employee relations where change and business decisions can be introduced efficiently and effectively.
- To leveraged appropriate specialists as effective selling resources when an opportunity is identified.
- Provide active support where required cross-functionally either.
Required Skills:
- At least 3 to 8 years strong Business Development background with relevant industry (security, logistics, technology) experience.
- Must be able to manage Implementation of new activities and measures in order to mitigate risk at all levels, and to follow up on compliance and procedures.
